Maiyah wish she could remember exactly how she ended up on this goddamn ship. Like most recent happenings, it was a blur to her. She could only assume that she was caught, found to be useful, and dragged along for the ride. Or perhaps, while in the embrace of her good friend Sam Adams, agreed with a red face and stupid grin to an offer for a nerdy space journey. Whatever the case, she was there, and she wasn't the least bit happy about it. She felt as if she were under constant surveillance, and she hated it.
She was leaning against a wall clean of buttons, looking out to the darkness of space, littered with distant objects that didn't exactly fascinate her. Yes, space was pretty, but she didn't find herself to be captivated by it like she thought she might have been under different circumstances. She more or less kept her focus on why she was here. To defeat some tyrant.
But what use was she?
She was a thief, con-artist and saboteur, a relatively normal person compared to most of the people on this ship. She couldn't punch holes in three-feet thick metal walls or blow shit up with light coming from her palms. It was a weird ass bunch she ended up with, and the only normal person there other than her was one of the heads of Capsule Corporation. She cringed at the idea of being stuck alongside her. Maiyah had planned on tapping into the company's security systems and find some kind of prize within, but any and all simulations she was able to trial were bitter failures.
Oh well, at least they had some things in common. That in itself was a comfort. Well, somewhat. It was difficult to see the brighter side of things. Since the two tailed men came and obliterated a city before slaughtering a handful of fighters, Maiyah had been frightened to venture out for clients, despite the impressive wads of cash they offered her. What if another tailed beast came and tore her head off? If they could make short work of the five or six massive, beastly guys that opposed them, who knows what they would have done to her.
She saw the damn news reports.
Maiyah shuddered visibly at the memory. It was a while ago, but it was still crystal clear in her mind's eye. She shook her head, raising a wrist and rubbing one of her eyes. Now wasn't the time to be ...remembering awful things. She then desired a smoke, but feared her neck being broken by one of the surlier members of the ship's crew if she lit up. ...Not that she had any cigarettes on her person to begin with. Fuck if she didn't forget them every time she left her damn apartment.
Rather than pulling out a pack of smokes she wished she had, Maiyah instead pulled out her small journal, sitting down on whatever construct she could sit on without pushing any buttons--figuratively and otherwise. She opened up to a thin page towards the end of it and sighed a little. There wasn't going to be enough space for the length of this journey she found herself stuck in. She'd have to make due, though... Should she be lucky enough they land on a planet that had journals like this, then she could only hope to wait as patiently as she could.

Everion was just fascinated by everything around her. She remembered seeing people boarding the ship on a planet she didn’t know the name of (she never could remember all of them, she had visited so many), and overheard them talking about how they were going to fight Frieza. That name rung a bell in Everion's memory. This was the name of the person who had nearly destroyed her planet many years ago. Once she realized this she pestered them into letting her join their crew.
Now here she was, in such an amazing ship. All the shiny metal, strange sounds and amazing view of space was enough to make her bounce off the walls. She was absolutely ecstatic to be here. She darted around the hall of the large ship and stopped at a door. She had never seen a door like this.
This one looked like it was a part of the wall, and there was no hole for her to grasp and pull it open. She noticed a rectangle thing on the wall and stared at it. It had a large button on it. She stared at it for some time before she finally pushed it. The door slip open and Everion jumped back. She quickly regained her composure and poked her head in the room.
“Hmmm….Hey Mo, it looks like nobody is in here. NEXT DOOR!!!”
Mo croaked sleepily from between the spines on her head. As she started to dart to the next door he clung desperately to her spines, she really was far too excited today…..
Everion repeated this process with the next three doors. With each door her reaction to the way it opened relaxed. When she opened the third door she saw a girl, around her height, scribbling in a book. Everion’s face lite up and she darted in and right up to the girl. Bouncing in place with the excitement of seeing a new face, Everion opened her mouth and began the verbal assault.
“Hi my name is Everion! How are you? Where are you from? How come you don’t have a tail? Is that normal? What’s that book for? What’s that orange stuff on your head? Do you have any candy?”

Maiyah found herself now face to face with some hyperactive something or other. She wasn't given much warning, or time to react really, before she was assaulted with a barrage of questions. She slid back over the surface she sat on, twisting and dropping her legs over the other side before standing. She turned, shutting the journal and folding her arms across her chest, "Do you mind?"
She didn't know this character that well. She often preferred to stay away from the loud ones. It was easier to exist alongside the surly, when talking wasn't needed or desired, much less a jet stream of questions that came without warning like some kind of swarm. That and getting to know others and giving her own information away was something she'd prefer to avoid if she could help it.
"I have a rule about personal space," she said, "Keep your damn distance. And questions? Direct them to someone else, someone who will waste their breath long enough to answer them." Cold, yes. Bitchy, most certainly. Appropriate, probably not. But satisfying, oh yes. So very satisfying. She moved a good five feet away from the creature that just bothered her, and leaned against a blank wall, going back to her journal.
"If you really must know what this book is for, it's for recording data. I'm sketching out the cosmos. Not that it really means anything..." her voice trailed off as she went back to shading an entire page.

Everion blinked, not satisfied with the answer she got, and plopped down onto the ground. She crossed her legs into the lotus position and stared at the strange, grumpy girl. She reached through her spines and pulled Mo out.
As she stroked his head, Mo protested loudly….but that didn’t bother her. She was so intrigued by the stranger that her gaze was fixed onto her. Everion thought it was interesting to see that this girl was good at drawing, and had seen so many different places. She smiled at her, “You never answered my other questions…What’s your name? Where are you from? Why are you here?”
Everion, still in the lotus position, put Mo back onto her head. She then laid her torso down onto her crossed legs, her elbows planted firmly on the ground and propped her head onto her hands. She continued to star at this girl, willing her to open up….as if that usually worked…

Tomta paused as she walked towards the main deck as the sounds of unfamiliar voices caught her attention. With no work for her at the moment she'd decided it would be most efficient to try and get some sleep in before she was needed again, and was heading to her bunk when she sounds caught her attention. She couldn't place the voices, but they had taken on new passengers, she'd heard, though she'd yet to see them for herself. They were both speaking Common. One was easy enough to place, clearly exhibiting the same speech patterns she'd observed in humans (and seemed rather upset) but the other was completely unfamiliar, which was somewhat worrying.
As she rounded the corner she found a small human and the unfamiliar individual, both seated on the floor. The human was indeed agitated, the other staring at her intently. She considered keeping her line of sight straight ahead, to ignore them and just keep walking, but convinced herself it would be more useful of her to see if she could sort out whatever the problem was.
"Is everything alright here?" she asked as she reached them.

(OOC: Spilling over from the Panic Room.)
He burst through the wall, crashing down onto his back and rolling across the deck, knocking over unwary travellers as he careened into them. The whole time, he was smirking. At last, Gohan was taking this seriously.
Of course, all of this was for nothing if he couldn’t get him to repeat this performance in a real battle. It was all well and good to strike out against someone who knew how to push your buttons, when there was no real fear involved. But when the terror of fighting a real battle set in, who could tell how he’d react.
He rolled to a stop, slamming his elbow down to halt his spin, then flipped up onto his feet.
“You have to do better than that!” he yelled, “come on, Gohan. Do you think Goku was ever this sloppy, even in training? How are ever going to be able to explain to the families of all the people Freiza kills if we don’t stop him?”
He locked his eyes with the hole where Gohan would show himself, lifting his hands to frame his face, waiting for the moment that his unwilling pupil made his appearance. And then it came.
“Solar flare!”

The blinding light came before Gohan could even think to shield his eyes as he emerged from the dark of the panic room. What a blunder, he should have known such an underhanded trick would come from Krillin in the heat of a spar. Especially like this. Gohan reeled back, stifling a cry of agony as his hands immediately shot to shield them from the remaining light. His stance was unguarded, and his body quaked involuntarily as the white hot pain radiated from his eyes and coursed through him like a deadly poison. He cursed himself silently, how could he have been so foolish?
A sharp blow to the face sent the young fighter flying back into the cool floor, skidding in vain as he tried to regain his balance before ultimately slamming into the nearest wall. Gohan exhaled sharply, a soft cry managing to escape him as the pain from his burning eyes blended seamlessly with the agony now blossoming from his aching cheek. The demi saiyan quickly gathered himself to his feet, guarding himself as he tried to get a lock on his mentor’s Ki. If he couldn’t see him, he could damn well feel him out.
“RRRRRRGH!!!”The growl had sounded almost primal as gohan wound his stance tight before launching himself forward after having finally locked onto his energy signature. He could feel the other taking flight, swiftly changing position in attempt to throw him off, binding his Ki for a strike as he had many times before. Gohan smirked inwardly, honing his attention solely on the elder monk and readied for a counter attack all of his own. Though, he could not seem to shake the unfamiliar Ki signatures eating at the edge of his awareness. Gohan suddenly stopped, forcing his aching eyes open, and his wounded pride away as he turned to glance over his shoulder and suddenly took in the blurred visages of other life forms. Human and alien alike.
“Krillin stop!” Gohan shouted, returning his attention to his mentor in time to block an incoming blow, “TIME OUT!!”

Having heard the bald short man crash through the wall, Everion gasped and quickly flattened out. He still crashed onto her before he landed in front of her and sent out a horrible blinding light.
Everion shrieked and clutched her eyes. She curled into the fetal position, still clutching her eyes. What did he do to her?!?!?
Suddenly she panicked and checked to see if Mo was still in his spot. Once she felt the writhing frog was still on her head, she felt her way to what felt like a crate. Poor Mo seemed to be in as much pain as herself. She wasn’t sure what was going on, and she didn’t want any part of it.
Despite her fear and confusion, she peaked around the corner once her eyes had started to clear up. She was worried about the strangers that were in the room with her, she had to checked up on them. She saw where the first girl was, she then shot her tail out from her hiding spot and grabbed her ankle. Before the girl had time to react, Everion dragged her across the floor and behind the same crate as herself. She then grabbed the girls head and checked her eyes for any visible damage, “Are you ok?”

Maiyah's thoughts were interrupted not by the continued blathering but the sudden burst in the wall behind her, a hard piece of whatever it was, be it rubble or another person, slamming into her and knocking her forward, smacking face first into a wall and bloodying her nose, "ARGH!" She crumpled to the ground, hands dropping her journal and going immediately to her face, now on her knees and elbows, cradling her probably broken nose. Her growling into her palms was a pitiful mixture of rage, pain and confusion.
She felt her ankle being pulled on by someone and let out another surprised yelp until she realized it was just the annoying lizard girl from before. Despite her indiscretions before, Maiyah couldn't ignore her act of kindness. Of course, that was until a bright white light blinded her and her hands met her eyes again, another shriek coming from her as her pupils painfully shrank to the size of pinpoints. "AGH!"
After about a moment of cradling her now blinded eyes, she yelled out to whoever it was that suddenly disturbed her only slightly peaceful stasis, accompanied by two others that she would rather simply ignore to their own devices with one another, but now has been forced to deal with not just them, but these other two directly.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" she shrieked at them, still unable to see. She was unsure if this was a regular between the freakish members of this ship, and by the voices she could only deduce that it was the surly bald man and the younger teen. She stood up, body aching now from the impacts, and blood now dripping from her reddening nose, "I hope you fuckers haven't forgotten that there are other people on this damn fucking ship, people that can actually get KILLED if you go around BREAKING EVERY GODDAMN THING."

Caught off guard, Tomta had just enough time to step back as the resounding crash filled the air and the two warriors spilled into the hallway. She had avoided the worst of the shrapnel and debris sent flying, but was unprepared for the bright flash that followed. Blind and unable to sense ki, Tomta took another hasty step back from the fighters until her tail found the undamaged portion of the wall behind her. But then she heard Gohan call off the battle and there was no sounds indicating movement afterwards.
She tentatively opened her eyes, persistent white spots obscuring most of her field of vision, and blinking owlishly tried to work out the picture before her. She was just able to place the dark contrasted figures before her as the human began to scream obscenities. The other being seemed to be moving, at least, so she concluded that at least everyone was reasonably unharmed.
"Is everyone alright?" As her scorched vision finally began to settle into something manageable, she turned her attention to the damaged metal sheeting of the Panic room wall. "A panic room is certainly meant to keep training contained, and away from more..." Tomta winced. "Breakable persons and things? However, I'm not sure the engineers of this model had this kind of intensity in mind."

The Main Deck was swarming with beings - would-be warriors in the battle against Frieza and assorted hangers-on they’d picked up from every planet between Earth and here. He didn’t know why any of them had come aboard. He was barely competent himself. No match for the immortal warlord they were speeding towards. It was just more meat to the grinder, an appalling waste of life. What were any of them honestly hoping to achieve?
And to make matters worse, they were objecting to the training they were undergoing, as though any of them stood a chance without it. He wondered if they were all just stupid, or if they were just choosing to ignore the danger, to blot it out and go about their lives like it was any other day. Like they were on some kind of vacation. The isolation - feeling like he was the only one who understand - just made everything harder.
It was already so hard to function, knowing how weak he still was. Every single one of them was so unimaginably weaker than him and they didn’t even have the good grace or sense to just let him do what he needed to do to save them.
That was what Gohan wasn’t getting. Someone had to do this. Someone had to push him, beyond his limits, further, too far. And he was the last one left who could do it. If he had to sully himself, get his hands so irretrievably dirty that they never washed clean, then so be it. The anger had always been there - the self-loathing too - and he used it, aimed it like a weapon, in the vain hope that the damage it could do to the people he loved would be what Gohan needed to overcome the inevitable conflict that was drawing nearer and nearer.
And he’d be lucky if he hadn’t damned himself to Hell by the end of this.
“There are no time outs in battle!” he roared, throwing himself into a leap that took him to the wall of the Panic Room. He sprang back, smashing his fist into the side of the boy’s face and sending him bouncing along the floor. Every skip of his body made his heart miss a beat, but his blood was up. He wouldn’t stop now. He couldn’t. “You still don’t get it do you? This isn’t some game you can just stop! We don’t shake hands and bow after this! You don’t run home to your parents! If you want to keep these people safe, you need to get it through your head!”
He raised his hand, aiming his palm to the ceiling and focused, splaying his fingers. Light swirled in an array over his head, and for a moment there was a halo of light over him. Kind of ironic, considering. Then the disc formed, its jagged teeth sliding into place from its whirling centre. His mouth a hard line, he clamped his eyes closed, unable to watch, and repeated the mantra of tough love he’d been rehearsing all along, under his breath.
And he threw it, right at Gohan.

Gohan couldn’t seem to shake the pain, the swell at the side of his head that seemed to ooze warm scarlet down the left side of his face, ebbing into his vision and tinting it red. Though despite the agony, despite his body’s screams of protest he rose to his feet, barely catching wind of what had been screamed by the women at his back, or what his mentor had screamed moments before knocking him senseless. Gohan shook his head, trying to steady his unwilling body as he returned his attention to the fight before him, and through his pained haze he caught sight of something that filled him with absolute dread. His eyes fixated upon Krillin’s position, eying the other man’s familiar stance with growing horror. He knew that stance, and the familiar Ki that accompanied the familiar pose. The young warrior’s mind raced;
‘He wouldn’t…There are people here!’
Gohan hadn’t the time to finish his thought as his widening eyes took in the horrible visage of the Kienzan beginning to manifest, the horrible energy wrapping itself lovingly about the elder monk’s arms as it grew in power. The demi saiyan paled, his mind racing as he desperately scoured for any sort of counter measure. He had to, he had to counter this or the people standing behind him would be severely hurt.
Or worse.
Gohan bore his teeth as he finally opted to take a stance, bringing his hands together in a familiar gesture his father and his mentor had done many times in the past. Gohan exhaled sharply as he quickly gathered his Ki and spoke the familiar incantation aloud;
“KAME-HAAAAAMEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!”
The intense energy exploded from the palms of his hands, absorbing the disk Krillin launched within its depths and surged forward, sending the monk flying backwards as the energy enveloped him. The light of the wave burned brightly before finally dissipating, leaving Krillin motionless upon the ground. The young demi saiyan groaned, lowering his shaking palms as he slowly began stalking over to his mentor’s form. Krillin’s Ki had fallen low, a bubbling spark of what it had been moments before; he would fight no more today. Gohan slumped to his knees at Krillin’s side, and with what strength he still possessed he grabbed onto the monk’s Gi and pulled him close, his wide dark eyes swimming in emotion.
“Are you insane?! Did you not see the other people? Have you lost your mind?!”

Alright, so this was very quickly becoming a place she would rather not be at the moment. Tomta stepped carefully around the wreckage and the two Earthlings locked together angrily. Her face didn't show any of the tension she felt in her shoulders settling in her stomach. It seemed to permeate the air. "Perhaps Bulma would be able to reinforce the panic room to prevent this sort of thing from occurring during future training sessions?" She asked as she stepped past the other two beings, seeing that they were in fact intact, and keeping her voice level. "I could go speak with her if you would like."

A look of utter horror became etched on Maiyah's face, paling when she saw the, the whatever it was form above Baldy's palm. It spun with what seemed like to her a spell of instability, making a sickening whirring noise that cut through the air like steel. The attack... was a saw...! It was a spinning saw! A kill saw! Made of light! And the man was aiming to throw it at the teen that stood in front of her. Which meant if it sliced through him, it would go for her and the other two women as well. "You're a fucking psycho," she said, voice cut with disbelief.
When the attack was finally tossed, and the boy readied his own attack, yelling some weird... words she didn't recognize, Maiyah ducked for cover, hoping she was at least low enough that if the attack sliced through the kid it would pass over her. She held her hands over her neck, keeping low until the worst of it was over. She looked up to find the teen next to the bald man and she was only snapped back to her enraged self when she felt blood on her face move down past her lips.
She stood back up, dusting herself off, "I don't know what you guys are trying to prove. And frankly I don't care. If you want any assistance at all in this little fight of yours, then you better damn well make sure we survive the damn trip. I didn't get myself dragged onto this ship just to get blown up by some bunch of hotheads. And I'm sure everyone else here can say the damn fucking same." She gave Krillin the worst of her glares.
"You keep on preaching on about keeping everyone safe and at the same time get everyone on this damn ship killed because you have a chip on your shoulder. Well guess what. You want to keep everyone safe? You want him to keep everyone safe? Make sure you don't kill us first," she hissed. She walked passed them out through the doorway, aiming for the nearest lavatory to wash up her face.
