Name: Jezebel
Aliases: N/A
Age (actual/appears): 45, appears to be in late twenties to early thirties
Gender: female
Nationality: Romanian, German citizen, unlisted in united states
Occupation/Organisation: Was a scientist in the field of genetics and to a lesser extent medical treatments for Umbrella Corp. before it went under.
Allies: Whoever doesn't kill her or might be useful to her own twisted ends. (She's not too picky)
Enemies: Whoever/whatever wants to kill or eat her.
Physical Description: Standing six feet tall and a whopping 178 lbs, Jezza is an imposing figure especially when considering that she is quite muscular for a woman and a scientist no less. Her sharp, cobalt eyes seem alight with some ungodly spark, her smile is a shark toothed grin thanks to several years of mild mutation and genetic therapy. Some might argue that the mane of hair she keeps pulled back in a lengthy braid is as black as her soul (she wouldn't exactly disagree though). She has a faded tattoo on her left palm of a rose with the stem wrapping around her wrist as well as several scars along her stomach, she also has plenty of faded stretch marks there. Her complexion is pasty to put it politely though much of the skin on her back and sides shows sign of previous disease or illness.
Attire: With her figure wrapped comfortably in a pair of breezy slacks tucked into a pair of heavy boots, and a dark tank top under the stifling, white lab coat she seems a lot less like someone a normal person would be willing to talk to.
Strengths: Jezza prides herself on having a razor wit and an acid tongue just as dangerous as her own mind. She always has an ulterior motive for her actions and incentive can be given or inherent in someone’s usefulness to her scheming ways.
She has worked long and hard her entire life and will not accept failure. While she is not adept at combat she is willing to throw her weight around to stay alive. In short she will be a team player as long as it is useful for her survival.
She can be ruthless beyond a doubt, dying is simply not an option in her book. If her survival requires sacrifice or simply inaction Jezza is less likely to hesitate than most. Even the good of her 'allies' will come above the good of any individual in a sticky situation. She opts for efficiency in all things and anyone being dead weight will not be tolerated by her.
Jezza knows basic first aid (and beyond) and has an fairly accommodating knowledge of herbal medicine which she always enjoys supplementing and implementing whenever possible. She also has a moderate knowledge of how to improvise materials to treat varying wounds and a good bit of experience in doing so.
Jezza's bread and butter in her field is genetics. While viruses are fine and dandy she sports more knowledge in genetics than in anything terribly useful about the engineered infections (despite being a victim of such).
Jezza is resistant to most engineered infections but not all. She suffers from a heavily modified and far weaker strain of the progenitor virus though the exact data of the experiments are lacking or have been destroyed (see background for more information.) Her particular case has left her non-infectious and suffering from slow and mild mutations. The most visible mutations are her sharp teeth, eye coloration, muscle mass, and an above average pain tolerance.
Weaknesses: Children are Jezza's greatest unspoken weakness. It seems terribly out of place for her but children have a priority almost to her own well being. While it conflicts with her ruthless demeanour it is one of the rare instances in which she will be conflicted enough to hesitate even in the most heated situations.
Jezza suffers from a very odd juxtaposition in her mutation. In earlier stages of her life she suffered exosome complex which has in the long run simply made her viral strain bond with her body all the better. Needless to say it is still quite painful for her and she suffers bouts of agony as the condition progresses.
Jezza lacks any training with guns and weapons. While she may be strong she has no love of the muzzle flash or noise of a gun and she's not quite brave enough to try beating monsters with a stick. If the situation is desperate or she gets surrounded then maybe she'll put up a fight in order to beat a hasty retreat but her chances of being useful in a fight are near nonexistent.
Jezza is a more than a bit shy of fire. She simply doesn't like being near it in most cases. Lighting a cigarette can do wonders to keep her at bay but it is more a conscious preference than inherent fear. Her main annoyance with fire is due largely to her photosensitivity.
Jezza's eyes are more light sensitive than others after mutation. It does give her a small advantage of seeing better in dim light but any bright light or flashes can send her reeling and leave her mildly disoriented. A very bright flash of light can drop her like a stone. (no flash photography please)
Jezza has a fear of open spaces and the outdoors after being cooped up in a building for most of her long life. She will in the most severe of situations keep her back to a wall or stay close to the walls. She dislikes even large empty rooms and will sometimes cling to someone in her company in fear or for comfort just looking at a room larger than 30ft wide.
Personality: Jezza isn't fond of people but if it is important to her continued existence she will tolerate the meat bags. She has a fairly lofty opinion of herself, is slightly narcissistic, and will just as readily be silent and helpful to see how the people around her react before offering anything up of herself. She's worked through some tough situations before and has seen some horrifying rampages in days gone by but it's just another dance of survival for her. She isn't as cocky from her experience as she is calculating. Every problem has more than one solution, she likes to find the solution that best suits her and if anyone else factors into that solution then good for them. She does nothing for free, her help will come at a price sooner or later, no matter what. While she doesn't go out of her way to destroy others she isn't likely to go out of her way to help someone either. If the effort outweighs the reward don't expect her to offer. (Note: she does have feelings and she does have a past. It isn't impossible to get her to like someone, it's just very difficult.)
Background: Jezza was sold into slavery at a young age to support her impoverished family deep in the Carpathian mountains of Romania. She was sold to a medicine man first who taught her to work with herbs and stitch the deeper wounds among other basics of healing. When her owner died she was reclaimed by a band of slavers and sold again to a wealthy German scientist who destroyed her in more ways than could be counted.
While in the service of her Germanic master she learned of genetics, her condition, and the science behind what he called a cure for her ailment. After what could only be called a mistaken romance he found Jezza was pregnant with none other than his own child. Her usefulness was to be terminated as a test subject for his personal work. Jezza's determination saw her through such trials surviving by whatever twisted mercy the experiments had for her and she managed to infect her master. During the uproar caused by the sudden outbreak of infection Jezza managed to free herself and escape to the land of opportunity, America.
Freedom was obviously not meant for Jezza or her unborn son. Representatives from Umbrella captured and detained Jezza within days of her arrival. While she was not only a valuable test subject she was also the only remaining source of information on what had happened at the private facility in which she had been operated on. In exchange for her cooperation of filling in all the blanks and re-documenting as many notes as she could remember (most of which weren't accurate to begin with) Umbrella offered her the opportunity to work under their employ but imposed her under a constant facility wide quarantine. While Jezza was less than a model employee she did her job effectively and with cut throat competitiveness (pun totally intended).
She gave birth to her son in the Umbrella facility she was condemned to live in for the remainder of her natural life. This displeased her and she would have attempted to help him escape had the child lived. Unfortunately, the rate of mutation in her son was greater than in her as the virus had taken a higher progression to the foetus during her pregnancy leaving Jezza with a far weakened strain that also left her sterile afterward. Jezza seemed content to simply work for whomever would keep her so long as she never had to be in a large or open area. Her self induced captivity continued from person to person until she was put into a suspended state and put aside for future use. Perhaps it was her self perpetuated captivity that landed her in this mess.
Personal Effects: Found in the pockets of Jezza's lab coat is a single self administering shot of morphine, a note scrawled messily in grease pencil reading "good luck in your new home", a grease pencil, a piece of chalk, three paper clips, a pair of latex gloves, and a 1 cm wide rubber band with a 6" diameter.
On a chain around her neck Jezza wears a fake and very cheap knock off of an engagement ring.
