Name: Albert Wesker
Aliases: Sir
Age (actual/appears): Wesker is over a century old, but still appears as he did when he was 38 years of age. In actuality, he appears younger than middle aged due to his lack of wrinkles, powerful physique and expressionless features.
Gender: Male
Nationality: American, with British overtures
Occupation/Organisation: Wesker poses as a “freelance consultant” in order to influence those who see themselves as his superiors. In actuality, he is the puppet master responsible for the world’s prosperity or degradation. He is independently wealthy and claims to serve anyone who can afford his fees, when in actuality he will work for anyone who can be used for his own purposes.
Allies: Wesker has no allies, but employs many staff in his operations. Those who do not work for him directly are manipulated into serving his best interests. However, he views them all as equally expendable. Therefore, Wesker’s feelings towards another individual usually amount to how useful they can be, or how entertaining they are.
Enemies: Wesker has no true enemies either, since he keeps his influence hidden and remains mostly in shadows. Any potential liabilities to his power base are terminated with swift and brutal efficiency, but with his affairs largely cemented, there is little that can threaten them. Though they are few and far between these days, Wesker does take a degree of joy in eliminating anyone who crosses him personally.
Physical Description: Wesker is tall, at six and a half feet tall, and muscular from extensive callisthenics. His hair is blond and slicked back, perpetually neat. His eyes are usually cold grey-blue with circular pupils, but can change to cat-like slits ringed with red and gold when he is particularly angry or aroused. His face is largely without expression, though shows brief and rare glimmers of satisfaction, disgust or anger.
Attire: Wesker’s attire in this instance consists of a tailored black suit jacket, black trousers, black shirt and black tie, all of which are made of durable fabrics and have been pressed to appear neat. He wears black shoes polished to a mirror shine, and a pair of sunglasses to hide his eyes.
Strengths: Before his infection, Wesker had a keen intellect and a soldier’s physique, complemented by an utter lack of regard for morality. Now virally augmented, Wesker has obtained inhuman levels of strength, speed and stamina, as well as the ability to regenerate almost any wound, making him functionally immortal. His mental prowess has also exceeded its previous limitations, as he is now able to process large volumes of information with ease.
His resources are unlimited. He has a large number of employees at his disposal and is tremendously wealthy. Wesker is opportunistic, always ready to seize upon new ways to increase his own power. He is well-mannered and charming, able to twist words and facts to confuse people. On top of that, he is also devoid of any emotional attachments himself, making him impossible to manipulate in return.
Calm and impassive, Wesker meets every situation with the same stoic expression, and it is almost impossible to tell when he has been pushed to his limits.
Weaknesses: Despite his obvious moral failings, Wesker has little in the way of true weakness. He can occasionally suffer from hubris, as even highly trained soldiers are rarely capable of matching him physically, though he will only ever misjudge someone once, and since he cannot be killed, this usually doesn’t cost him anything. Sometimes, he will leave a particularly entertaining or challenging opponent alive where common sense would dictate he should eliminate them.
After one hundred years of amassing power, Wesker has a tendency to grow bored, which is usually detrimental to the people of the world, as he is a sadist and entertains himself with the suffering of others. Because his expression is usually neutral, and held in place with absolute control, it is difficult to tell when Wesker is reaching his limit, or has already reached it, and so he has a tendency to snap without warning. Excessive violence usually follows.
Occasionally, Wesker will become consumed with bloodlust when engaged in a particularly rousing conflict. This makes him easily distracted.
He also holds a grudge like a son of a bitch. Many are the people who thought they had escaped Wesker, only to die horribly twenty years after the fact, when he had some free time to kill.
Personality: Wesker’s temperament is cold and calculating. He is always assessing everyone around him, searching for signs of weakness and the best opportunities to strike. He regards everyone as expendable. A sadist, he is always happy to end a life, save where it would give a person peace from a particularly torturous situation. Opportunistic to a fault, he will never pass up an opportunity to increase his power. However, he is wary and intelligent, so he will never sacrifice a sure thing for a long shot.
Methodical and deliberate, Wesker plans everything in advance. He becomes agitated if events deviate from the plan he has set out, however, and violence is usually quick to follow. This is the same for when he is aroused, as he reacts to individuals who challenge him, either physically or mentally. He is as fond of mind games as he is of physical brutality.
Wesker is dedicated to his way of life as only a sociopath can be. He feels no pull of morality and has no qualms about the things he does. He cares only about himself and amassing power. There is no end goal. He is studious, always learning so that he can find new things to use against his “enemies”, and keeps himself in prime physical condition for those occasions when it is necessary.
Background: Wesker was born to unremarkable parents in an unremarkable place. However, unlike them, he was ambitious and intelligent. He graduated from a prestigious University at the age of eighteen and began work as a facility administrator for the Umbrella Corporation, overseeing the work of a brilliant lead researcher named William Birkin. Wesker worked diligently and continually impressed his employers. However, he began to realise the limitations of his position.
Wesker joined Umbrella’s Internal Security Agency, using it to manoeuvre himself into a position of opportunity. He was assigned to neutralise an outbreak at his former place of work. Calling upon his old associate, Birkin, Wesker obtained a sample of an experimental viral compound. His intention was to use this virus to fake his own death and retrieve the contents of the Arklay facility’s internal archives. However, the STARS members under Wesker’s command survived the operation and destroyed the archives.
Needing leverage for his new life, Wesker secured the assistance of Ada Wong, a freelance operative, to steal a sample of the G-virus produced by William Birkin. Ada did as she had been instructed and delivered the virus. He went on to personally oversee the retrieval of the T-Veronica virus from Alexia Ashford, a mission that brought him into contact with his former STARS subordinate, Chris Redfield.
Working with no master, Wesker used his new acquisitions to bring himself to power, first in the field of bio-weaponry, then in general. He pitted governments and organisations against one another, making them dependent on his assistance so that he could move them into the positions he desired. He never forgot those that had crossed him previously, however, including the STARS that had set back his plans.
Once his position was secure, Wesker hunted down and slaughtered the STARS and all others who had delayed or otherwise challenged his plans, until they were all gone.
Wesker continued to maintain his empire for the next century, plunging many countries into deep mires of poverty. From those countries arose particularly powerful breeds of human, as well as several anomalous viral weapons. Intrigued, and bored after so many years of personal peace, Wesker gathered a number of these individuals and prepared an isolated locale to facilitate his “game”.
The mansion is his game board, where he intends to entertain himself with the trials of his players. He waits with anticipation as events unfold, intending only to interfere personally where it is strictly necessary to motivate them, or where such interference proves to be too tempting.
Somewhere in the mansion, Wesker watches...
Personal Effects: As there is nothing of any great personal importance to him, Wesker carries no effects.
